A Synthesis Renaissance

FWO Cover Final.jpg

The Sound:

A Synthesis Renaissance was created before and even during the conception of the original line-up. The original idea came from Adolescence, High School memories, and the aspect of learning about the world as you're forging your way through it.

This album questions life in a variety of ways. It explores the perception of time and how it relates to our every day life. The name, A Synthesis Renaissance, represents the community of musicians that we’ve surrounded ourselves with and who we create with. It talks about real life, what we experience and expect, but what we also learn in return. The idea of an ever-changing culture of music that is at the peak of a creative and powerful movement of merging styles, but also hints at the big changes happening all over the world, including personal relationships, conflict, pain, and our own existence.

Recorded & Mixed at The Lake Lindero Recorder in Agoura Hills, CA

This is what started the band. This album was the original plan, but due to life, things had evolved over the course of our first 3-4 years, which also led us to record the EP, "Nu". We had all of these songs practiced and learned except a few. Majority was Rehearsed & Performed, but work still had to be done. We spent time cutting our teeth playing Gigs as much as we could from 2017-2019 as well as preparing for that EP so, by the time we reached the beginning of tracking Drums, The Pandemic Hit. We trudged on through finishing Tracking and Mixing, making sure every square-inch of these Compositions was as perfect as we could make them, but it was another long process that involved more learning. This entire concept, at the time, felt long overdue, but as time went on, I realized that the concept was still somehow in the making and that whatever idea I had started with was only the beginning of what was to come. In the form of a chapter book, where each song represents an individual portion in that book. The idea for the book concept spawns from the stages of life and self-struggle. Revolving around love, tragedy, growing pains, and reality. To give you a taste of everything. We mixed in our own styles with the ideas we have and created something that tells people something about us as a band and as people. Our roots.
